Meet our Officiant: We’re thrilled to have John Kajmowicz officiating our wedding. A close family friend, John brings a unique connection to this day—he also officiated the wedding of the bride’s mother, Jan, when she married Len in March 2022. This will be just his second wedding, so yes—we’re pretty much his entire résumé. John is a career Naval officer with over 24 years of service as a ship driver. Throughout his career, he has served on aircraft carriers, cruisers, a frigate, and had the honor of commanding a destroyer. Originally from Lincolnwood, Illinois, he now lives in Chula Vista, California with his wife Beth, who grew up in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. They have two sons: Ryan, who is attending Penn State, and Jake, who is preparing to start at Loyola Chicago this fall. A lifelong Chicago sports fan—Go Cubs Go!—John is looking forward to retiring from the Navy and spending more time with his family and traveling. We’re confident he’ll keep the ceremony firmly on course—pun absolutely intended. John, thank you for your service to our country and also to our wedding we are honored that you and your family can be apart of this day with us!
